Our Story
Owner Daniel Mercer started Kitchen Doors Milton Keynes after spending years fitting and updating kitchens around Milton Keynes and Buckinghamshire. He kept meeting homeowners who were broadly happy with their cabinet layout but thought a complete refit was their only route out of dated colours, peeling fronts or worn finishes. In many cases, Daniel could see that the underlying units still had useful life in them. He began concentrating more of his work on careful front replacement and the finishing details that make retained cabinets look intentional rather than simply old units with new doors attached.
Daniel grew up around North Buckinghamshire and has spent most of his working life travelling between homes in Milton Keynes and the surrounding towns. That local familiarity shaped the way he wanted the business to operate: small enough to pay attention to individual kitchens, practical about what really needs changing and clear with customers when an existing part is not worth keeping.
Today the business focuses on kitchen doors, drawer fronts, worktops, handles, plinths and end panels. Daniel works with fitter Jamie Collins and customer coordinator Sophie Bennett. The team sees a kitchen refresh as a practical renovation rather than a shortcut. Measurements need to be right, retained cabinets need to be suitable and the finishing details need enough care that the updated room feels coherent when the work is complete.

A cosmetic refresh cannot solve every structural problem. If a cabinet, fitting or surface needs more than a new face, we would rather explain that clearly.
